Immigration has always been an impetus of economic and demographic growth for the United States. During the last decade of the 19th century, immigrants contributed substantially, providing labor for the industrialization of the country. However, the new president Donald Trump shook the U.S. and the world with his policies related with immigration. Some are claims that he will build a wall on the southern border between the U.S. and Mexico to prevent further illegal immigration.

To define the Immigration Reform, it is a term used in political discussions regarding the changes to the current immigration policy of a country. Reform strictly means to change into an improved form or condition, by amending or removing faults or abuses. Therefore it may include promoted, expanded, or open immigration, as well as reduced or eliminated immigration.

Therefore, there will be some disadvantages that Trump’s Immigration Reform will bring to the U.S. economy. Firstly, deporting immigrants will cause the U.S. economy to weaken. Most of our economy come from factories and workplaces that don’t require much skills. And immigrants, such as those from Mexico and low-income countries, need less wages for them to work in those places than current native Americans. However, if President Trump brings them out of their current workplaces, we would have to replace them with one of the current Americans. Because the U.S. cannot use the inexpensive labor force due to the decrease of the migrant workers, the wages will rise if we hire current Americans. This will effect the overall increase rate of product prices, and the people’s consumption will decrease. Therefore, the economy will worsen. The weak economy will influence the rate of crimes or the society in a harmful way.

Secondly, the companies of America will be required to pay more money than what is really needed. If the companies don’t want to pay all those expensive wages, they would try to use other countries’ labor force for their benefits. However, this does not bring any benefits. Although they would be able to decrease the product prices and the increased wages of America, but it would lead them to pay all sorts of the other countries’ taxes and their people’s wages. This cannot be an advantage for the U.S., but would damage it more.

Finally, immigrants can become a big help to America. We have a variety of different cultures as a multi-cultural nation. As people from many countries around the world come and live, America has been able to understand other cultures, thoughts, and logics more clearly also as a leading nation of the world. Immigrants here become a bridge between the two nations and can have a mid-point role. They can become a big help when the two nations are trying to maintain a close relationship through trading and becoming allies. Rejecting immigrants can become America’s big disadvantage.

Therefore, it should not be the president who is going to ruin his own nation. The president should work for his citizens, and protect them, not execute and abandon them. The Immigration Reform should not occur, and we should help those immigrants be the real citizens of America. America is a big nation. America should not lose its role as an international leader.

If wages go up won’t Americans have more money to pay for the increased price of products?

yes..I like the basic concepts behind Second Life but it seems incredibly outdated and when I played it was intensely non-intuitive / user friendly to an extent that made EVE look like a game for toddlers. thanks from
