LOS ANGELES (CNS) – More scorching weather is heading to the Southland this weekend, with triple-digit heat anticipated in some areas and forecasters warning today that the hot and dry conditions will raise the danger of wildfires.

According to the National Weather Service, valleys and lower mountain areas could see temperatures as high as 106 or 107 degrees as the heat wave peaks over the weekend.

Warm and dry weather will be on tap tomorrow, with the real heat beginning to settle in on Friday, when temperatures will hover around 100 degrees in the warmest areas, forecasters said. The highest temperatures are expected between Saturday and Monday, with Sunday and Monday expected to be the hottest days.

“During this time, there will likely be widespread temperatures between 100 and 106 degrees across the valleys, lower mountains and Antelope Valley,” according to an NWS advisory. “Even inland portions of the coastal plain, including downtown Los Angeles, will likely climb well into the 90s.”

Forecasters also warned that the hot and dry conditions “will also bring an extended period of elevated fire danger to Southern California, especially considering the critically dry fuels being observed across the entire region.”

Residents were advised to avoid strenuous activities during the heat, and urged to wear lightweight and loose-fitting clothing and drink plenty of water.

A weak onshore flow is expected to return early next week, bringing a gradual cool-down to the area, according to the NWS.

yes..I like the basic concepts behind Second Life but it seems incredibly outdated and when I played it was intensely non-intuitive / user friendly to an extent that made EVE look like a game for toddlers. thanks from
