Is America ready for a super romance starring a centuries-old alien and a hilariously narcissistic A-list actress?

ABC thinks so.

The network has ordered a pilot of a remake of Korea’s biggest K-drama hit of 2013, “Man From Another Star,” Yonhap reported.

“We received a pilot order from ABC network recently and are currently in the process of creating a detailed contract with producer Sony Pictures,” HB Entertainment announced Friday.

HB Entertainment CEO Moon Bo-mi and “Man From Another Star” writer Park Ji-eun will join the remake project as executive producers, the company said.

“We’ve been preparing the remake since February and are thankful that we can rebirth this Korean drama with great partners,” Moon said. “But we’re cautious about an order for early next year and will do our best with American producers to get the series picked up.”

Produced by Sony Pictures, the remake will be written by Elizabeth Craft and Sarah Fain (“Shield,” “Angel,” “Vampire Diaries”).

The casting process is underway and filming for the pilot will begin in the second half of this year.

The leads have been renamed James and Lark.

“Man From Another Star,” which originally aired in December last year, became a global hit with viewers’ ratings of up to 28.1 percent for its final episode.
