SEOUL (Yonhap) — Fashion designer Victoria Beckham, better known as a former Spice Girls member and wife of retired footballer David Beckham, on Monday unveiled a new clothing line initially in Korea exclusively designed for Asian customers, which she said has growth potential for luxury brands.

The Victoria Victoria Beckham My Theresa capsule collection, composed of eight dresses, was exclusively available via a private link in South Korea on Monday. From Tuesday, it will be available on the Munich-based mytherea.com for Asian markets, the online retailer said in a statement.

“Asia is the fastest-growing market for luxury brands. Korea is a very avant-garde and fashion-oriented market. I was amazed by the way people were dressed at the (Incheon International) airport yesterday,” Victoria Beckham said in the press conference.

“I am here to connect with my customers and to get to know my customers.”

She came to Seoul Sunday for the promotional event after her Victoria Beckham fashion brand opened a brick and mortar shop in Hong Kong Landmark last week, the first offline shop in Asia and the second globally after the world’s first outlet that opened in London Dover Street in 2014, the statement said.

“We don’t have any immediate plan to open an offline (Victoria Beckham) shop in Korea,” mytheresa.com said.
