In case you’ve been counting, there have been three major plane-related accidents in the last week.

According to the Aviation Safety Network, 644 people have died as a result of 11 plane incidents this year, a 71 percent increase — so far — from the 10-year average of 376 fatalities.

The figure includes 298 fatalities from last week’s Malaysia Airlines MH17 crash, 48 fatalies from Wednesday’s TransAsia Airways Flight 222 crash and 239 fatalities March’s Malaysia Airlines MH370 crash.

It does not include Thursday’s Air Algerie Flight 5017 incident, which went missing with 116 onboard. Officials said it probably crashed in Mali.
