Los Angeles residents will soon spot Metro buses advertising a trip to South Korea around the city on their way to work and on the streets.

The bus campaign, which is in its second year, is a project of the Korea Tourism Organization’s L.A. office. It depicts a Seoul nightscape that shows both the famous COEX Convention & Exhibition Center and the Bongeunsa, a historic temple.

The organization, which opened Korea Night at Dodger Stadium on Tuesday, said it focuses on presenting Korea as a tourism destination to Americans.

The slogan, “Korea, Be Inspired,” continues last year’s message to visit Korea for inspiration.

The organization will launch a total of 60 buses in L.A., San Francisco and Honolulu starting June 2.

“The bus campaign, which we planned for strong markets, will hopefully bring a rise in the number of American visitors to Korea, which is growing every year,” said Kang Ok-hee, manager of the organization’s L.A. office.
