Joseph Kahn takes home 8th VMA for Video of the Year

Grammy Award-winning Korean American music video director Joseph Kahn took home his eighth MTV Video Music Award (VMA) for Video of the Year.

Most recently it was for his work on Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood”, which featured Kendrick Lamar, Jessica Alba and Selena Gomez just to name a few.

The video brought in 20.7 million YouTube viewers on the day that it was released.

Kahn has directed countless big budget music videos for A-list artists including Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and U2.

The 42-year-old was born in Busan, South Korea and immigrated with his family at a young age. He was born as Ahn Jun-hee.
