Choi Na-yeon, Kim Sei-young, Lydia Ko and now Amy Yang. Only the golfers born in South Korea have won on the LPGA Tour this year.

The 25-year-old better known as Yang Hee-young in South Korea, captured her second career LPGA Tour win in Thailand on Sunday. Yang won the Honda LPGA Thailand by two strokes over three golfers on Pattaya Old Course at Siam Country Club in Chonburi, after shooting a three-under 69 on Sunday for a four-round total of 15-under 273.

Yang, who joined the LPGA in 2008, had last won on the tour in 2013.

Yang, the runner-up at the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open last week, stayed hot to pick up $225,000 in the winner’s check to move into the first place on the money list.

Yang began the final round one stroke behind Stacy Lewis, the overnight leader at 13-under.

The two played together in the final group, and Yang immediately served notice with a birdie on the opening hole. She picked up two more birdies on the front nine, while Lewis committed a bogey along with two birdies over the same stretch.

Yang built a two-stroke lead over Lewis with a birdie on the 10th.

Lewis wasn’t done, as she pulled even on the 14th with a birdie while Yang committed her first bogey of the day.

The taut final stretch took a dramatic turn on the 15th, however, as Yang battled back with a birdie and Lewis shot herself out of contention with a disastrous double bogey, giving the South Korean a three-stroke advantage.

Yang had another hiccup with a bogey on the 16th but parred the two final holes for the victory.

Lewis ended in second place at 13-under, joined there by South Korea’s Lee Mi-rim and Taiwan’s Yani Tseng. Among other South Koreans, Kim Sei-young tied for fifth at 12-under and Park In-bee ended another stroke behind in a tie for eighth.
