Korean games bring in 11 times more in exports than K-Pop, a report says.

According to a report Monday by the Korea Finance Corporation, the Korea Creative Content Agency said game exports in 2012 were $2.639 billion compared to $235 million for the music industry.

The export amount for games made up 57 percent of the content agency’s total of $4.61 billion in exports for 2012.

Following games was knowledge information ($445 million), characters ($416 million), publication ($245 million), music ($235 million), broadcast ($234 million), contents solution ($150 million), animation ($113 million), advertisement ($97 million), film ($20 million) and cartoons ($17 million).

In 2012, worldwide game exports exceeded $111.75 billion.
