A Korean American fashion designer is set to make waves at New York Fashion Week as one of its Emerging Designers.

Claire Henkel, 34, will show her collection, Urban Sewn, inside Affinia Hotel Saturday.

Created in 2013, Urban Sewn is based in Flushing, N.Y., and offers a casual, on-the-go style for women.

After studying art at Cornell University, Henkel worked as a graphic designer and as a women’s shoe and clothing designer.

Henkel participated in last year’s Fashion Week Brooklyn, where she was noticed by NYFW organizers.

She said she plans to expand her line to menswear.

not impressed. They have 9 items to choose from and the “company” has been in business since 2013… Looks like the waves never made it to shore.
