Kia, Hyundai combine for 5 awards in satisfaction survey, K900 tops list

Automobile manufacturers Kia and Hyundai are making waves in the U.S. by giving consumers what they want.

AutoPacific, a market research group, released the results of its 19th annual Vehicle Satisfaction Awards, which found that the two South Korean carmakers had a combined five different models had won in their respective categories.

“Kia and Hyundai are continually improving owner satisfaction in key areas like reliability and quality, yet are also hitting the mark with safety, braking, handling, styling and seat comfort, not to mention a very satisfying warranty program,” President of AutoPacific George Peterson according to a press release.

The Kia K900 won the top prize for most satisfying vehicle overall in a survey that gathered 66,000 responses on 274 different cars from 33 different manufacturers.

The two companies are responsible for redefining consumer expectations and it shows as the two companies were responsible for knocking European made cars out of the top spot for average score.

“Kia and Hyundai are continually improving owner satisfaction in key areas like reliability and quality, yet are also hitting the mark with safety, braking, handling, styling and seat comfort, not to mention a very satisfying warranty program,” explains Peterson.
