No damage reported for magnitude-3.3 earthquake

(CNS) -There were no reports of damage today from a magnitude-3.3 earthquake whose epicenter was in Cudahy and was felt in downtown Los Angeles.

The temblor struck just before 11:40 p.m. Wednesday at a depth of about 10 miles, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department East Los Angeles Station, which includes Cudahy in its patrol area, had received no damage reports, according to Sgt. Richard Bojorquez. Deputies from the station were checking critical facilities, 30 minutes after the quake hit, Bojorquez said.

A dispatcher for the nearby South Gate Police Department said she had received no indications of damage or injuries.

A Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman said no reports of significant damage had been received.
