Los Angeles Koreatown’s Pio Pico Library will be having its annual spring book sale on April 26.

The sale, which will open at 11 a.m. and close at 3 p.m., will offer 5,000 used and donated books that range from 50 cents to $3, said the Library Association of Pio Pico Koreatown.

“The book sale is a good chance to find and exchange out-of-print books,” said Janice Kim, president of the association.

“Korean Hangeul: a New Kind of Beauty,” a book written by Kim E-sook to introduce the Korean language, will be sold and displayed at the event.

A variety of books, including educational books for children, technical books and DVDs, will be available, said Kim Jung-hwa, chairwoman of the association.

The Pio Pico location holds two book sales a year, once at the end of April and once at the end of October. The proceeds will go toward acquiring Korean books for the library.
