Virginia House Delegate Mark Keam (D), of District 35, will begin another two-year term — his fourth — in his seat following an uncontested race for the seat.

Keam thanked the Korean American community Tuesday and said he hopes to work on supporting the construction of a Korean community center.

Keam, 49, was born in South Korea and is a former Capitol Hill aide.

“The past six years have been the most meaningful professional experience I have had, and I take my responsibilities as a public official very seriously,” Keam wrote on his Facebook page Tuesday night. “With this new 2-year contract I have been given, I promise to do my utmost best to live up to your trust in me and to perform to your expectations.”
