Tiger JK, Dok2 set up new hip-hop label

SEOUL, Sept. 22, (Yonhap) — South Korean rappers Tiger JK and Dok2 have jointly established a new hip-hop label, the company announced Thursday.

Hip-hop guru and founder of Feel Ghood Music Tiger JK and Dok2, the CEO of local hip-hop label Illionaire Records, have founded Ghood Life Crew, bringing along up-and-coming rappers myunDo, Junoflo and Superbee. The two will act as the company’s producers, according to the label.

The young rappers initially gained popularity through the fifth season of hit Mnet audition show “Show Me the Money,” where MCs compete for a US$90,000 cash prize and the title of best rapper in Korea.

Superbee, best known for his hit song “Shark in a Pool,” will start off promotions. His upcoming EP “The Life is 82 0.5,” co-produced by hit songwriters Make for Play, Ricky Do and Prima Vista, will be released on Friday at midnight.
