New York’s annual Korean parade is coming back to the Avenue of the Americas Oct. 4 for a day of cultural celebration.

Started in 1980 by the Korean American Association of Greater New York and run by The Korea Times in New York, the 34th Korean Parade will take place between 38th St. and 27th St. in Manhattan.

The two-hour parade will feature a marching band, a traditional Korean percussion band and a procession comprised of hundreds of Korean organizations.

A K-Town Festival will be set up on a Koreatown stage near 32nd St., where K-pop performances, traditional folk music and audience participation performances will unfold beginning at 10 a.m.

Food will be available from on-site vendors.

The parade begins at 12 p.m. For more information about the parade, contact The Korea Times NY at 718-786-5858. For information about the festival, contact the association at 212-255-6969.
