The Korea Times is holding a special giveaway for three pairs of tickets to see world-renowned conductor Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonic on July 23 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California.

Description courtesy of the Hollywood Bowl:

With the crashing of cymbals, the power of over a hundred voices and the sonority of orchestral brass and strings, Gustavo Dudamel leads his first ever Carmina Burana in Los Angeles! The famous piece, based on medieval poems about life, love, morals, mockery and drinking, is a summer highlight you won’t want to miss.

“Toccata and Fugue in D Minor”, attributed to J.S. Bach. Such a monumental piece, not just for organ players, but composers and artists alike. Howard Shore made use of it for “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest” to represent the Kraken, and many a horror scene has been punctuated by it’s menacing tones.
