Dunn-Edwards helps KYCC repaint low-income apartment

The Koreatown Youth + Community Center is setting out to bring life to a low-income apartment with the help of Dunn-Edwards Paints.

The paint company provided the organization with an estimated $30,000 of paint for 229 gallons, KYCC said.

KYCC started a three-week paint job on a Wilton apartment on Sept. 23, during which they worked on both the inside and outside of the building.

Dunn-Edwards Vice President Tim Vosbeld said at a press conference Tuesday that they chose KYCC because of its will to clean up and help advance the community.

Vosbeld said Dunn-Edwards plans to engage in similar projects with organizations around Southern California.

“After the low-income apartment was built 20 years ago, there was no chance to repaint it, but we got the chance to do it through the support of Dunn-Edwards,” said KYCC Executive Director Song Johng-ho. “We thank them for cooperating with us for the community.”
