Choi Min-sik makes U.S. debut in ‘Lucy’

Choi Min-sik will be making his American debut through “Lucy,” due in theaters July 25.

The film, also starring Scarlett Johansson and Morgan Freeman, is directed by Luc Besson and follows the story of a woman named Lucy who, through a drug implanted in her body, becomes a superhuman with the ability to use more than her normal brain capacity.

Mr. Jang, played by Choi, is a drug boss who speaks Korean through the movie. As Lucy’s brain capacity increases and allows her to process other languages, she begins to understand what he is saying.

The film runs 96 minutes.
