Flushing mental health clinic by Korean non-profit opens doors

A mental health clinic by Korean Community Services of Metropolitan New York opened in Flushing Monday.

The first clinic of its kind planned by a Korean non-profit, the clinic is located on the second floor of 42-16 162nd Street.

Services offered include personal, couples, family and group therapy, art therapy and alcohol and drug counseling, with additional support for language and cultural needs.

Present at the opening ceremony were New York Assemblyman Ron Kim, KCS President Kim Kwang-seok, Senator Toby Ann Stavisky, Congresswoman Grace Meng and City Councilman Paul Vallone.
