Get ready for price hikes at U.S. national parks

National state parks, including Yosemite National Park, may raise entrance fees beginning next year.

According to a National Park Service news release Monday, Yosemite park proposed an increase from $20 to $30 for a single-vehicle seven-day pass, $40 to $60 for an annual pass and from $10 for individuals and motorcycles to $15 for individuals and $25 for motorcycles.

The price increase will affect 130 of 401 U.S. national parks, including California’s Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks, Joshua Tree National Park, Pinnacles National Park and Death Valley National Park.
