8 out of 10 Korean women try to hide their faces from their lovers when not wearing make-up

Eight out of 10 Korean women try to hide their faces from their lovers when they are not wearing make-up, a survey shows.

In matchmaking company Duo’s survey of 327 single women in their 20s and 30s, 82 percent of women said they hid their makeup-free faces from their partners.

The respondents cited multiple reasons — that they had a flaw they wished to hide, they felt unsure of themselves without make-up and the notable difference before and after make-up.

They also said they were afraid their partners would become disappointed when the partners saw them without makeup.

Occasions when women inevitably had to show their bare faces was when on a trip, in summer when their faces got sweaty, when swimming and when their lovers suddenly came to see them at home.

Items that women tried to keep with them at all times during the summer included bb cream/cc cream, foundation and waterproof products. Others opted to get eyebrow and eyeliner tattoos.
