SEOUL, (Yonhap) — A Taiwanese member of South Korean girl group TWICE will enroll in a South Korean high school in May, the K-pop band’s agency said on Tuesday.

Tsuyu, 16, was accepted to Hanlim Art School in southeastern Seoul, JYP Entertainment said. The announcement came at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, a day after the teen singer took the entrance exam and had an interview for late admissions.

Tsuyu applied for May admission, as she obtained a completion certificate of junior high curriculum from her home country last month.

Under the current South Korean regulations, high schools are open to late admissions in May. The related law was modified in 2014 to scrap the old regulation that limited the admissions process to within 30 days after classes begins.

“Tsuyu will proceed with her high school entrance procedures along with her singing career,” a JYP official said.
