  • South Korea's Salvation Army said it brought in more than 6.3 billion won (US$5.97 million) through its annual red kettle campaign in December, which is all time high since their operation began back on 1928 in Korea.
The Salvation Army Korea Territory collected the money through its year-end street, online, ARS and other campaigns, which closed on Tuesday.
Although the street collection is over, the charity will continue to receive donations for the 2013-2014 campaign that ends Oct. 31, this year, with the goal of collecting 10 billion won. (Yonhap)
