‘Star Wars’ director J.J. Abrams, stars to visit S. Korea

November 17, 2015

Long-time Hollywood movie franchise “Star Wars” is rolling out its seventh installment, “Episode VII: The Force Awakens,” on Dec.17 and South Korean fans will get the chance to meet its stars before the opening.

Movie director J. J. Abrams and actors Daisy Ridley, John Boyega and Adam Driver will greet fans on Dec. 9.

Abrams had hinted at the Korean visit while attending the Busan International Film Festival in October, raising fans’ anticipation.

Besides a press conference, the director and stars will participate in a question-and-answer session with fans.

George Lucas created the epic “Star Wars” in 1977. The latest installment is set 30 years after the previous episode, “Return of the Jedi,” made in 1983.

Hello Korea Times! My boyfriend and I are currently living in Seoul to teach English and we are both diehard Star Wars fans. I see that fans can participate in the Q&A as well and that it will be on Dec 9th in Seoul. Do you have more info on exact location and time and how to purchase tickets if necessary? We desperately want to go and are just hoping we will be off of school in time. Thank you so much for your help and may the force be with you! Sincerely, The Very Nerdy Couple In Seoul
