MERS death toll rises to 7 with 8 new cases

One confirmed patient was pronounced dead at a South Korean hospital according to health officials Tuesday (KST).
The number of MERS-related deaths has increased to seven while the government announced that eight more patients were admitted for displaying symptoms.
The total number of MERS patients now stands at 95.
The most recent victim had contracted the virus through the 14th confirmed patient at Samsung Seoul Medical Clinic in Ilwon-dong, Gangnam-Gu.
Two of the additionally confirmed patients had contracted the virus from the emergency rooms of Seoul Asan Hospital and Yeouido St. Mary’s Hospital.
Another two had contracted the virus from the 15th confirmed patient at the end of May inside of Hallym University Hospital.
The health ministry announced that the confirmed patients have visited Gimje Wooseok Hospital, Gimje Future Radiology Clinic, Gimje Hansol Internal Medical Clinic, Okcheon Jeil Medical Clinic, Okcheon St. Mary’s Hospital, and Eulji University Hospital.
