The National Philanthropic Trust appointed a Korean American, Suzanne Yoon, to its board of trustees Friday.

Yoon is a Chicago-based managing director at Versa Capital Management. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree from University of Iowa and holds seats in a number of Chicago boards.

The NPT is “the nation’s largest independent donor-advised fund charitable organization and among the top grantmaking institutions,” according to Business Wire.

Yoon was appointed to the post alongside Urban League of Philadelphia CEO Rosalyn McPherson and Shearman & Sterling LLP Of Counsel Paul Schreiber.
