K-pop band Monsta X named Girl Scouts ambassadors

In South Korea, just about everything is promoted by K-pop idols — even the Girl Scouts.

On Friday, Starship Entertainment and Girl Scouts of Korea announced boy band Monsta X as the organization’s new promotional ambassadors, Yonhap reported.

A ceremony will be held Dec. 16 inside Seoul Foundation of Women & Family plaza with 120 organization representatives.

Girl Scouts of Korea has continued to name Korean pop acts popular with teenagers as ambassadors, including Girls’ Generation, Epik High, f(x), CN Blue and B1A4.

Monsta X, who debuted earlier this year, will promote the Girl Scouts of Korea and its events through 2017.
