Here’s how Apple wants you to spend your next $999

September 12, 2017

The new iPhone is finally out, and it’s fancy and pricey

It’s confirmed: The amped up, much-anticipated iPhone X (call it 10, not ex) is real. So is the iPhone 8. The iPhone X starts at $999 for 64GB. Pre-orders start Oct. 27, and go on sale Nov. 3. Details: The home button is officially dead, so is the TouchID fingerprint sensor. The new hot feature is FaceID, or facial recognition. You can also use your face to create animated emojis or animojis. Oh, and Apple is finally giving consumers wireless charging. If you’re not ready or willing to drop $1,000, the iPhone 8 is $699 and the iPhone 8 Plus is $799 and both launch on Sept. 22. Which to choose? It comes down to price and size. If you don’t want an iPhone 8 or iPhone X, there are plenty of alternatives.
