Research at the University of Cologne, Germany, shows that possessing a good luck charm with sentimental value can boost a person’s confidence.

Participants in the study brought their lucky charms, which were then taken away from half of them.

All participants were then given a memory test.

Those who still had their charms scored higher than those who did not. Other tests showed that those with the charms had higher confidence.

The research confirms that life is based on a person’s outlook and beliefs, not necessarily the environment or circumstances.

A person can feel more confident with the help of a simple object. If a person is feeling unlucky, buying a good luck charm can produce a more positive outlook.
