Choo Shin-soo hit his second home run of the month Monday.

Texas Rangers’ outfielder Choo Shin-soo hit his ninth home run of the year Monday in Baltimore.

The 32-year-old Korean left-handed hitter’s solo shot in the fifth inning was his first home run since June 2.

With the Rangers (39-38) already leading 4-0, Cho0 hit Orioles right-hander Bud Norris’s fourth pitch over the right-field fence to make it 5-0. The Rangers went on to crush the Orioles 8-1 on the road.

Choo had three hits to raise his season batting average to .232, but the most interesting development of the day may have been his first stolen base attempt of the year. Unfortunately, Choo was denied of his first stolen base since May 5 of last year as he was thrown out by Orioles backup catcher Caleb Joseph in the first inning.
