Billboard named Lee Hi, the runner-up of SBS-TV’s K-Pop Star Season One in Korea, as the 20th hottest under-21 singer in the music world in 2013.

Billboard has been releasing ‘21 Under 21: Music’s Hottest Minors’ list since 2010. This year’s Korean entrant is 17-year-old Lee Hi, a.k.a. Lee Ha Yi in Korea. One K-Pop star was included every year since the list was first introduced in 2010, making Lee Hi the fourth to make it, following Wonder Girls, HyunA of 4minute, and IU.

Billboard writes, “During the past 12 months, K-pop newcomer Lee Hi racked up chart successes rivaling established Korean idols. The soulful vocalist first appeared on the K-Pop Hot 100 in October via a collabo with hip-hop trio Epik High, “It’s Cold,” a No. 1 hit. Lee Hi followed up with her Duffy-esque debut solo single “1,2,3,4,” ruling three weeks atop the K-Pop chart.”

Lee Hi belongs to the same management group as Psy and performed with him at his Happening Concert, where he unveiled his ‘Gentleman’ video.

No. 1 on Billboard’s list is One Direction, followed by Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus.
