100 days of Sewol

It has been 100 days since the sinking of the ferry boat Sewol, which took the lives of 294 passengers — most of them high school students — and which has left 10 missing.

The April 16 sinking, as well as the economic, political and social shock it generated, devastated South Korea and brought into scrutiny safety issues and allegations of a corrupt relationship between the Korean government and private companies.

Search teams, meanwhile, have continued to look for the missing.
