2 teens dead, Korean couple injured in Hacienda Heights crash

A fatal car crash took the lives of two 18-year-old recent high school graduates at around 7 p.m. Sunday in Hacienda Heights.
George Steward and Sabrina Castillo, who were known to be a couple at the time, died at the scene after being hit by an airborne vehicle, which subsequently tore the roof off of Steward’s pickup truck according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). They reportedly were on their way to Knott’s Scary Farm.
Key J. Kim, 68, allegedly exited the 60 highway at the Seventh Avenue exit at “an extremely high rate of speed,” according to a CHP collision report. While attempting to make a right turn, the car Kim was driving, a 2013 Lexus E350, slid into a center concrete divider sending it into the air and through Steward’s truck.
Kim’s wife, Young A. Kim, 62, sat in the passenger side during the accident. Both of the Korean Americans involved in the accident sustained critical injuries.
The crash is still under investigation, but alcohol and drugs are not suspected, CHP officer Edgar Figueroa said.

Critical injuries? None of the reports I’ve read this far have said the Kims suffered critical injuries. All say they were minor. Are you elaborating with new information or embellishing?
