The oldest-yet depiction of a Korean face was unveiled by the National Museum of Korea Wednesday, Seoul Economy reported.

The pair of gilt bronze masks were taken by Japanese colonialists in the early 1900s and returned to the museum as cultural assets.

The museum said the masks, which depict a traditionally Korean topknot hairstyle for men, are dated around second or third century AD.
