South Korean ballad singer The One was accused Tuesday for allegedly writing in his former girlfriend as an employee of his agency to pay child support for their young daughter using company money, Yonhap reported.

His former girlfriend, identified only as Lee, 35, accused The One, whose real name is Jung Soon-won, of forgery of private documents to Seoul Gwangjin police.

According to police, Jung gave 14 million won, or about $12,800, to Lee starting in January 2013 for child support. The pair were together from 1999 to 2010 and have a daughter together.

Lee said Jung created a false employment contract in her name under his agency and has paid her the child support using company funds.

Jung is currently overseas and will undergo an investigation.

His agency said Jung could not pay the child support with his personal funds due to financial difficulty and started paying Lee with company funds after a consultation with both Lee and the agency president.

The agency said Jung did not commit forgery because it was done with Lee’s consent.

Jung debuted in 2002.
