Katie Kim, a 22-year-old Berklee College of Music student from New Jersey, won one of South Korea’s hottest talent audition shows Sunday.

Kim stunned the nation and the three judges of “K-Pop Star Season 4″ — YG’s Yang Hyun-suk, JYP’s Park Jin-young and Antenna Music’s Yoo Hee-yeol — in a face-off against fellow finalist Jung Seung-hwan.

She chose YG Entertainment as the agency into which she will enter as a K-pop trainee.

The singer joins other show alums like Park Ji-min, AKMU and Bernard Park as the season winner. “K-Pop Star” has similarly drawn attention to the discovery of Korean American talent, among them Han Hee-jin and Sam Kim.
