Pittsburgh Pirates shortstop Kang Jung-ho seemed a little bit lost during most of spring training, but it looks like he’s finally moving in the right direction.

He managed to get out of his slump in style hitting a home run and driving in three runs Sunday against the Atlanta Braves.

In his next two games, the 27-year-old slowed down a little bit but managed to get a hit in each game out of a total of seven at-bats.

To many casual onlookers it may not seem like much, but considering he went hitless for six of seven games before that shows that he’s on an upward trend.

He was rested on Thursday.

Kang was one of the home run leaders last year at 40 while hitting .356 with 117 RBIs when he played for the Korean Baseball Organization last season. The ceiling is very high for this power hitting middle infielder.
