K-pop singer Rain denies nude photo, will file lawsuit

K-pop singer and actor Rain will file a lawsuit against the netizen who uploaded an image that circulated the Web Thursday in Korea claiming it to be a nude photo of the 32-year-old star taking a shower.

“The person in the photo being spread online is clearly not Rain,” his attorney, Kim Nam-hong, told Yonhap. “We’re planning to file a lawsuit with police requesting punishment netizens who spread false descriptions of it. It’s malicious libel.”

The netizen, who said the photo was taken from Rain’s girlfriend and actress Kim Tae-hee’s phone, covered the eyes of the person in the photo and raised suspicions, Kim said.

Cube Entertainment, Rain’s management company, stated Thursday the man in the photo is not Rain.
