Another feat for “Infinite Challenge,” arguably South Korea’s most-loved variety program: the Grand Prize at the prestigious 42nd Korea Broadcasting Prizes.

The Korean Broadcasters Association announced the TV program’s win Wednesday, Yonhap reported.

The win marks the first time a variety program has nabbed the title in 16 years, the last having been another MBC show in 1999. Until last year, the Grand Prize was awarded exclusively to documentaries and television dramas.

“‘Infinite Challenge’ opened a new horizon for variety programs, and we judged highly its ability to create a sensation in society for 10 years running,” judges said.

“Infinite Challenge,” which celebrated its 400th episode last October, first aired in 2005.

The Korea Broadcasting Prizes have aired since 1975.
