All-Star basketball game event in Korea

This past weekend was All-Star Game weekend in the Korean Basketball Leagues for both the men (KBL) and women (WKBL). One of the most popular events was the ‘Entertainer men vs. WKBL Legends’ game.

Entertainers, led by Korean American singers Park Jin-young and John Park, defeated the WKBL Legends 59-51 on Sunday.

Recently retired Korean national team forward Park Jung-eun, who also happens to be married to actor Han Sang-jin, said after the game, “We thought those entertainers came to entertain, but they meant business,” and laughed.

Just in case you’re curious, the three Parks are all said to be just under six feet in height.

During the actual WKBL All-star game, former Duke star and current Washington Mystics forward Monique Currie took MVP honors. Currie has been a hit for the Kookmin Bank team.
