Busan film fest draws stars to red carpet

The Busan International Film Festival, South Korea’s largest such event, kicked off for its 10-day run Thursday inside Busan Cinema Center.

The festival will feature 304 projects from 75 countries. Gala presentations this year include Hirokazu Koreeda’s “Seaside Town Diary,” Zhang Ke Jia’s “Mountains May Depart” and Hsiao-hsien Hou’s “The Assassin.”

The opening ceremony saw a flood of stars on the red carpet, among them Jung Woo-sung, Hwang Jung-min, Ha Ji-won, Jeon Do-yeon and Lee Jung-jae.
