News of Bae dating probably made a lot of middle-aged Japanese women sad. (Newsis)

Top hallyu star and actor Bae Yong-joon denied Monday a rumor that he will soon marry his girlfriend.

Japanese magazine Josei-Jishin reported Monday Bae confirmed he will marry his girlfriend, Koo So-hee in April. But, Bae’s agency KEYEAST said it groundless.

In 2002, Bae become a top icon of hallyu in Japan after the successful drama series, “Winter Sonata.”

Last December, the 41-year-old actor confirmed that he was dating Koo hee, the second daughter of a vice chairman in LS Industrial System, an affiliate of the LS business conglomerate.

Koo, who is 14 year younger than Bae, is a graduate of New York University. Last November, they were seen traveling together through Japan.
