Houston Astros catcher Hank Conger is coming back to Anaheim red-hot. The 27-year-old former Los Angeles Angel led his team with four RBIs on Thursday in an 11-4 road win against the Oakland Athletics.

The Korean American went 2-for-4 at the plate with two singles to boost his season average to .222 with 10 home runs and 31 RBIs.

Despite the strong performance, it wasn’t his best RBI total in a game this season. Just last week, Conger hit his second grand slam of the year to tie his season-high five RBIs.

Conger appears poised to make his former team regret for trading him to a division rival as the Astros and the Angels begin a critical weekend series Friday night in Anaheim.

As the regular season is coming to a close, the Astros are leading a tight American League West Division by 2 1/2 games over the Texas Rangers.

The Angels are 5 1/2 games behind the Astros in a division race, and 3 games behind the Rangers in the AL Wild-card race, going into the Friday night’s game.
