Southland gas prices drop to lowest amounts since February 2011

LOS ANGELES (CNS) – The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped today to its lowest amount since Feb. 4, 2011, decreasing 1.6 cents to $3.393.

The average price has decreased 28 consecutive days and 51 of the past 52, dropping 43.5 cents over that span, including 1.3 cents on Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 10.6 cents less than one week ago, 32.3 cents lower than one month ago and 34.3 cents below what it was one year ago.

The Orange County average price dropped today to its lowest amount since Feb. 2, 2011, decreasing 1.6 cents to $3.366. It is 10.9 cents less than one week ago, 31.9 cents lower than one month ago and 33.6 cents below what it was one year ago.

The Orange County average price has decreased 27 consecutive days and 49 of the past 51, dropping 43 cents over that span, including 1.4 cents on Tuesday.
