‘Queen Yuna’ may have skated in competition for the last time, but a pair of 16-year old South Koreans have just begun to lay foundation for the Pyeongchang Winter Games four-years later.

Kim Hae-jin finished in 16th place with 149.48 points after 95.11 points in the free skating on Thursday, and Park So-youn received 93.83 points in her free skating and finished with 142.97 points for 21st place.

They couldn’t be more different in style. Park is more athletic of the two – with better height and velocity on her jumps, but the experts consider Kim to be more advanced in her artistry and a natural performer.

Here are some pictures of Kim and Park in action in Sochi.
