The rush for tickets for Maroon 5′s Seoul concert crashed online servers Friday afternoon.

The American pop-rock band, led by vocalist and guitarist Adam Levine, will visit Korea for a sixth time from September 6 to 7.

Ticket sales began at 4 p.m. on websites Interpark and Yes24 but stopped almost instantly for most users.

Korean actress and TV presenter Choi Hee took to Instagram to express her frustration.

“I had to take a drive while listening to ‘Moves like Jagger’ because I failed to save myself a spot at the Maroon 5 Korean concert,” Choi wrote.

“I just wanted to see Adam Levine!”

As the Maroon 5 sales opened, a photo from seven years ago of Levine and James Valentine, another member of the group, went viral on Korean community sites.

Netizens expressed their eagerness to see the group, saying the server problems only “showed how crazy their popularity is here.”

Maroon 5 will be holding its sixth concert in Seoul, but its first in Daegu.

Its newly released fifth album, ‘V’, has had a massive response, ranking third in Billboard charts within the first weeks of April.
