$1.6 billion Powerball jackpot also created 81 millionaires

(AP) — Sure, the three winners splitting the record $1.6 billion Powerball jackpot are getting a lot of attention. But more than 26 million tickets won prizes, many of them not too shabby. Some in each of these categories even doubled their winnings by paying an extra dollar for a “Power Play.”

Match 5 but not Powerball:

73 tickets earned $1 million each this way. Eight others paid an extra buck and doubled their winnings to $2 million.

Match 4 plus Powerball: 

934 tickets did this, paying out a total of $52.05 million.

Match 4:

23,378 tickets did this, splitting $2.62 million.

Match 3 plus Powerball:

54,282 tickets did this, sharing $6.09 million.

Match 3:

1,321,676 tickets did this, dividing up $10.4 million.

Match 2 plus Powerball:

1,015,792 tickets did this, divvying total of $7.96 million.

Match 1 plus Powerball:

7,184,218 tickets sharing a total of $32.1 million

Match Powerball only:

16,510,282 tickets, paying a total of $73.7 million.
