Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon to declare presidential bid Sunday
April 9, 2025
Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon will announce his presidential bid for the June 3 election this weekend, officials said Wednesday.
On Sunday, Oh will declare his bid for the upcoming presidential election, triggered by the ouster of former President Yoon Suk Yeol over his failed martial law bid in December.
The location has not been disclosed yet, though his team told reporters the four-term lawmaker is likely to announce his candidacy at a “symbolic place” that signifies his policies for the underprivileged.
Oh is the first mayor of Seoul to serve four terms since he first took office in 2006.
