Los Angeles Dodgers starter Ryu Hyun-jin had an unlucky outing against the Texas Rangers Tuesday in which he gave up three hits and three runs (two earned) in three innings while striking out two batters and walking one.

The game ended in an 11-11 tie after nine innings.

His two preseason appearances couldn’t be more different on paper considering he pitched two perfect innings in his spring training debut on March 12 against the San Diego Padres.

Ryu actually cruised through the first two innings giving up only one hit with two strikeouts, but two infield singles and errors by first basemen Scott Van Slyke and catcher Yasmani Grandal in the third inning ruined the outing for Ryu.

Dodgers second baseman Howie Kendrick hit the team’s lone home run after he hit a three-run shot over the center field wall in the top of the fifth.

Rangers outfielder Choo shin-soo sat out due to minor soreness in his ankle.
